In a nutshell, describe your role at Indigo8.
I work in the Administration and Processing department at Indigo8, providing support to our clients’ businesses or charities. Essentially, I work on a lot of administration tasks related to our clients’ acquisition campaigns.
What does a typical day look like for you?
Every day is different which makes my role interesting. I do have routine tasks that I must complete each day, but I also spend a lot of my time processing ad-hoc tasks requested by our clients. My responsibilities span from setting-up new campaigns to streamlining processes for our clients’ businesses.
What is the best part of your job?
There are lots of aspects in my job that are great, but what I enjoy most is analysing the data that we process from our clients’ acquisition campaigns.
What’s one skill you’ve learnt here at Indigo8 which has helped your career development?
I have learnt so much since working at Indigo8. Because my role is flexible towards our clients’ needs and priorities, I have learnt to be adaptable which is a key skill I will use throughout my career.
What’s your favourite project that you have worked on at Indigo8?
One of our clients was looking to increase their verification rates. To do this, we needed to streamline how we processed their sales and confirm their data. This was a huge project that involved multiple departments, new technologies and a short deadline. I worked with a group of employees and our client so that we could all align our processes and systems to make the required changes. The project was very successful because we all worked together.
Your role is fast-paced, what’s your strategy to stay focused?
You cannot go wrong with a to-do list and a very organised inbox! I colour code each task into categories and have broken up my jobs into daily and weekly items. It’s a fool-proof strategy so I never miss a thing.
What's something about you that people would be surprised to learn?
I studied agriculture at school for four years and learnt how to train and show cattle. It was a lot of hard work and I was incredibly dedicated which all paid off in the end – my friend and I came close to winning, but we went home with second place at a livestock show which was a great outcome!
What’s the most recent app you’ve downloaded but are yet to use?
The app is called 1 Second Everyday: Journaling. Basically, you record a second of your day and collect your memories. I think I have recorded something once or twice, but not because I didn’t like the app, it’s a great app, but I just need to remember to use it more – I should add this to my to-do list.
