Meet Ashleigh Pay, Indigo8 Corporate Services's Booking Administrator

We’re introducing you to team member Ashleigh Pay, our super-organised Booking Administrator at Indigo8 Corporate Services. Having an incredibly neat desk and colour coding her inbox are just some of the ways she keeps on top of her fast-paced job (which she thrives in). Ashleigh manages hundreds of kiosk and event site bookings across Australia, ensuring each space is reserved and ready for our clients to promote their brands!

We managed to sit down with Ashleigh for five minutes to chat about her role and get to know her better.


What does a typical day look like for you?

I take care of the casual mall lease bookings for our clients. I spend a lot of time on the phone and email communicating with our suppliers such as shopping centres and airports to secure spaces for our clients’ campaigns. I make sure the sites are in the best location and everything exceeds the rules and regulations of casual mall leasing. I also manage any site or service issues that may pop up from time to time.


What is the best part about your job?

The wonderful relationships that I have developed with our clients, suppliers and my co-workers. Everyone is great to work, and it makes my job fun!


Your role is pretty fast-paced, what’s your strategy to stay focused?

Being organised definitely helps me to keep on top of everything. Knowing what I need to do at the start of the week and how I need to prioritise my time ensures I get a few wins! I also like to keep my emails in check by colour coding them.


What three words would you use to describe your role?

Flexible, organised, and patient.


What's something about you that people would be surprised to learn?

I am currently studying a Diploma of Events Management, and also a Certificate in Special FX Makeup.


When you were a child what did you want to be when you grew up?

I kept changing my mind about what I wanted to be when I grew up. I originally wanted to be a dolphin trainer, after a trip to Sea World. Then I wanted to be an archaeologist. Then I just wanted to do any job that would let me travel across the world!


How do you get ready for a day at work?

I have everything ready for the day the night before – the clothes I will be wearing are laid out, my lunch is ready in the fridge, and my bag is ready to go. I make sure I have enough time to make a coffee in the morning for the drive in.


What is your biggest achievement to date – personal or professional?

My biggest personal achievement was when I followed through with my plan to go travelling on my own! In January last year, I went on a two-month holiday and travelled through South East Asia – it was my first holiday in 5 years.
